Job Hunting is always so tedious, but gets fun by the time you find a couple of things you'd want to apply for :)
I’m amazed by some of the job descriptions out there! It’s very articulate and very specific, but most of all, lots of overlapping skill set requirements. I wish luck to everyone who’s looking for a career like me. I hope we get to land something we’d really appreciate and enjoy doing.
It’s frustrating to see people who have no inkling as to how tough it is to work retail. I mean, when you’re shopping for something that you want and can’t find it and somebody offers to help you, why not accept it? I mean, after all, their job IS to make your shopping experience as hassle free for you as possible. *eye roll*
Now for those of you who don’t require assistance —like me when I’m shopping by myself— I totally understand the need to not be helped by anyone because you either know what you want and that’s the end of it or you’re just window shopping. Understandable. People who work retail also understand this.
But seriously though, when you OBVIOUSLY are in need of assistance, just take it when they ask you. Just take their help. When you do, you’re happy and they’re happy, cuz you don’t make their jobs a lot harder than it has to be.
Me: There are a lot of things I can tolerate in this world, but one of them is NOT stupidity. I hate stupid people. I think I’d pick someone who’s immature than stupid.
Friend: Me too!! I hate them both though. I hate immature people too.
Me: Right? At least you can carry a conversation with someone who’s immature! …though I’d prolly want to strangle them. (haha) I mean, they have brains just like everyone else right? God gave them brains for goodness sake!
Friend: They can’t use their brains, that’s why their stupid.
